Best budget GPU for upgrading an A10-6800k APU build

I'm running an ASUS A88X-Pro mobo, with an A10-6800K APU oc'd to 4.4ghz, 4gb of Patriot Viper Xtreme memory oc'd to 2100mhz, and a 650 watt Ultra power supply. I would like to know what dedicated GPU to upgrade to. I've got a budget of right around U.S. $180. I'm not interested in any fanboy B.S., just want to know what card will be good for running most games at 1080p with medium to high settings. Games I play include World of Tanks, and World of Warships, Skyrim, also big fan of the Assassin's Creed series too...

Ok the RAM I can do no problem... However looking on eBay the prices on used 280x's may be a bit outta my range if I've gotta upgrade PSU to use it.

Are they really that bad of a brand? Been using it now over a year and haven't had any issues, but then again really haven't had it under load either...

Ok, final question and I'll pick an answer... For another 40-50 USD I can get an r9 380 4gb. Is it worth the extra cash, or overkill?
