I'm not sure if it's because the parts inside are old or the case's stock fans are junk, but this case is brand new and it's just screaming loud. What could be some of the causes for this? I don't believe it's because the case has too many grill holes, as I have another computer using a Corsair C70 case, and that one is silent even when I remove the entire side panel. Any ideas on this one?

Current Rig in this case:

CPU: i7 920
CPU Fan: COOLER MASTER Hyper Evo 212
MOBO: Asus P6T
RAM: DDR3 6gb Corsair XMS TR3X6G1600C9
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 260

I personally find the corsair fans to be 'noisy'

You could also check the your pan pwm headers are plugged into the correct headers on the motherbaord. DO NOT plug them into PWR_FAN headers, they are set to run at 100%.

Hey warhead thanks for the response. I actually had mistakenly plugged the fan that's toward the back into the PWR port, but even when I moved the plug it into the chassis port, it was still noisy. According to the motherboard it was spinning at 1200rpm, but the quiet fans in my other C70 case are also running at the same rpm.

You could download AI suite software from the ASUS website. There will be a program included called 'Fan Xpert" (or something very similar)

In this software you can take control of your fans, set custom profiles and have them even turn off at low temps.

Hopefully that helps a little.
