Hey I currently have a PC with an Intel i5 4460, 16GBs of RAM and a GTX 760 and I am looking to upgrade the graphics card as the GTX 760 is struggling to play the games I want to play at decent frame rates so I am looking for a GPU upgrade that will not bottleneck my CPU. The games I plan to play on the new GPU are:

GTA V
Fallout 4
Just Cause 3
Star Wars Battlefront
Mirrors Edge Catalyst

My budget is around $350-$400 USD ($480-$550 Australian Dollars where I live) also I want to not upgrade again for at least 1.5-3 years from now (2017-2018) so I don't want a GPU that is only a slight improvement from the one I own now and Also I really don't want to upgrade my CPU as well so don't bother recommending Graphics cards my CPU can not handle

GTX 970 or AMD's R9 390. The R9 390 is slightly better and cheaper, 8gb vram, but runs hotter and uses more power. Gtx 970 is quiter, more expensive, 3.5gb vram, uses less power, runs cooler. They both have there ups and downs, if you like Nvidia, get the gtx 970, if you like and get the r9
