Hi people of the internet,

I really need someone to help me as I was really looking forward to upgrading to an SSD (for all its benefits) but as expected I've ran into a dead end and its made me angry and sad. I'm not an expert, more of an surface level enthusiast.

I used AOMEI Backupper Standard Free to clone my HDD to my SSD. I followed all the steps outlined here http://www.backup-utility.com/windows-10/clone-hard-drive-windows-10-0528.html After the cloning process finished I shutdown the computer. As soon as it turned back on I hit F2 and went into the Bios to change the boot priority of my SSD to no1 and HDD to no2. I save and exit. To my disappointment the laptop loads up relatively slowly. Meaning its not booted from my SSD.

Can someone more knowledgeable than me look at the pics below and tell me if the clone worked well and a small tweak has to be made (making SSD active?) or if somethings gone wrong.

I'm pretty sure I copied more than I should of from the HDD? I just wanted the OS. But how's that possible? the software I used didn't allow for advanced options regarding the source of the clone (HDD). Why do I have like 3 storage drives all of a sudden? Why is one full almost? I dunno :(

If it's <mod edit> could I format the ssd so its as it was before? If so how? I assume its quick format but there are like 2 other drives to choose from.

Can I do a clean install instead? My windows 10 is genuine but all I have is the activation code.

The laptop is Toshiba Qosmio X870 (it has two drive bays)

Highly appreciate any replies,
Nigel

I would try Macrium Reflect. You may have to do an advanced copy by moving the partitions around and putting the one big partition at the end (Because the side of the drive is bigger than the size of the SSD) It's easy for me to say it's easy to do but might be hard for some people. I can give you exact step by step details if you need.
