Hello, my old power supply, a G650M failed on me and im looking for a new one. Actually i already ordered a new one. The Corsair RM750. So after i ordered it a read a lot of reviews, and many people say that it is bad quality and so on. But they dont come with a good reason on why it is bad. So i wonder if any of you clever people can tell me exactly if its bad and why?
Thanks on advance!

Asrock exstreme 4
MSI GTX 760
I5-2400 3.10GHz

(RM750)?

Hi Mikkel,

Is it good? : It's passable, but compared to other PSU's in the same price category it is nowhere near the best.

Specifics on why:

- Choice of cheap capacitors in the secondary side. Specifically, The Corsair RM Series uses CapXxon capacitors for the secondary capacitors. The capacitors are low quality, which is a considerable black mark for a high end PSU.

- The fan engages rather late

- Limited functionality of the Corsair Link software because the PSU isn't digitally controlled

- 3.3V performance in Advanced Transient Response tests

- Corsair Digital Bridge not in the bundle, but including it would raise the price

YES. The EVGA G2 series is one of the best PSU lines on the market right now. Made by Superflower, nothing but high-quality parts.

Review from Johnny Guru on the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2:

"The gravy train keeps on rolling for EVGA today with the G2 750W. Expectations were high, and EVGA rose to them without breaking a sweat. I have to imagine that over at EVGA headquarters, they have to regularly take breaks to go up on the roof and yell, "Top o' the world, Ma!" I certainly couldn't blame them. Now all we need from EVGA is their answer to the Corsair AX1500i, and we'll be all set.

The Good:

excellent voltage regulation
less than 15mV ripple on the outputs
switchable semi-fanless mode
excellent build quality
10 year warranty
competitive price

The Bad:

nothing"
