[HELP] IMPORTANT DATA FORMATTED FROM HDD
I GOT MY C# programs slides and the whole assignment on the HDD which is around 100mb so the 100mb is precious....
I am on a laptop
G550

My brother was trying to install Kali linux using unetbootin-windows, he took 10gb drive from a partition for Kali linux and tryed to install the live version on the drive. and it was installed successfully after a reboot the windows boot loader gone unresponsive , so I deleted the partition where the linux was installed then tryed to install windows 8.1 again using a 3.0 drive but bad luck the error occurred "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one." I thought it was a problem with the boot image of hdd so I open up the Disk Part using CMD and by mistake ran clean command .. and deleted the partition and the whole disk ..... I know I was messed up .... after some search this error "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one." was caused due to a usb 3.0 stick this error can be removed when using a 2.0 stick for installation now my all data is gone is there any way to recover the data ... my HDD is formatted 3 times since the error

Solution
First things first, Don't use that hard drive anymore!

Did you do a quick format or a full format (full format can take an hour or more)
If you did a full format you are screwed no way around that.
If you did a quick format you can plug the drive into another computer and use software like Recuva to scan that drive for missing files (do not write anything else to the drive), do not install Recuva onto that drive as it can overwrite your data and it will be lost.

Also scanning/restoring with Recuva (or any other restoration program) can take several hours, and depending on when your assignment is due may not be worth the time.

That's approaching the NSA's definition of unrecoverable. Looks like you're going to have a long night redoing the assignment.

I'd strongly suggest you do any or all of the following to learn from your mistake:

a) Use a cloud service like Dropbox, Box, or Google Drive to keep a backup of your work. Or keep your work on it in the first place.

b) Use a USB stick to save backups of your work.

c) E-mail yourself copies of your work when you are done working for the day.

d) Add a BIOS password to your computer so your brother can't repartition it again.

e) Add a user password to your computer so when you walk away it's locked and can't be used by your brother.

man I am screwed ........... yeah man but the same laptop was being used by brother for development purpose he is not newbie but do not know how he managed to damage the Drive

Changing the bootloader can mess with the Window's boot loader causing it not to work.
If you ran the format for ~ 20 minutes and I am assuming this is a HDD not a SDD, I would imagine it would have over written the first ~100GB on the drive (potentially less depending on the size and rotational speed). If the C# files were located there (within that first 100GB) you are out of luck, if not than you could use Recuva to scan/attempt to restore them. If the files were partially overwritten they will be partially recoverable (meaning some data will be corrupt/lost)
