i have installed a new larger hard drive in my HP nc6120 compaq and windows 7 os. I am missing drivers for audio, video, network, multi media controller, and the wireless adapter does not show in device manager. Sooo i have no sound, or wireless internet access among other things. Where and how do I find or download when unable to access windows update or manufacturers web site.

As there are no HP-released drivers, you can get hardware IDs for components without drivers (Control Panel - Device Manager - Device-in-question - Details - select HardwareIDs from drop-down), and hunt for drivers based on VID and PID values, like "PID_1234 VID_5678"

There is no difference in the ways drivers are located and installed between Windows editions.

really? when i was trouble shooting a mac boot camp with OSX Yosemite and Win 7 Home apparently the home wouldnt show on the monitor due to a graphics driver issue. clean installing with Win 7 Pro fixed that issue immediately
