I've installed an 2 year old gpu on my new rig and used the system for weeks. I didn't have problems and tried to open my pc case to check the fans. I just noticed that my r9 280x 2nd fan was blocked by wires. only one fan was spinning entire weeks! I didn't have problems for now, but I am worried for incoming instability and damage done by my wires blocking my video card 2nd fan. Now I can't sleep :(

I don't overclock but I do play games a lot like 24/7 and my room temperature is hot. Now im moving my system unit inside the fridge. :fou:

Solution
Anything below 80c (i try to keep my GPU around 70-75c) is a good temp for everyday use, you really won't cause much degradation to the GPU till it hits 90c+ though. If you are seeing high temps you can adjust the fan profile to push the temps down some.
If it isn't having issues right now, it is probably fine. I wouldn't worry about it, just make sure the fans are both working from now on.

Download a system monitoring program like http://openhardwaremonitor.org/ and just make sure all your temps are in a safe range. Not sure if you are joking or not about putting the computer into the refrigerator - don't do that lol.
