SSD Drives and AHCI question

Hey Guys,

Quick question i have a Gigabyte Gryphon Z87 motherboard i have two SSDs installed and one HDD. I recently changed the BIOS from IDE to AHCI i was wondering if that changes it for all SSDs or just the boot drive ssd. I hope my question is clear.

Hello... Typically... there are more than one Brand of SATA controller chip on a MB... And each one will have it's OWN features and MB BIO's settings... only way to tell is check your MB Bio's and which SATA connectors you are plugged into.

Your MB however uses Intel on all 6 Sata ports... But you could have separate options/settings for some of them.
