So I have drafted a CS:GO PC and I need your advice on the Build.
What FPS will this PC run at playing CS?
Are there any minor improvements that I can make to the build that will get me more "bang for my buck"?
Have I made mistakes or are there any ways in saving money on the build without compromising the performance too much?
I am planing on maybe upgrading some of the parts in the future to play BF4, is there anything that I can do now to decrease the hassle of upgrading later on? e.g Buying a better Graphics card now.
Finally is there anyone out there who has built a PC in a similar price range that has proven results for high CSGO performance?

Thank you for the help!

Will beast CSGO

prob 300fps+, you dont want all the flash on anyway, its better on meduim

I'd go pump for a better gpu though for future, 960/380

You thinking of upgrading to 16gb soon? if not go 2x4gb instead of 1x8gb

Add SSD?

This has a slightly (you won't notice any difference at ALL) worse CPU, but a much better GPU, which will give you more fps, of course the one you have will do fine with hopefully 100+ fps in 1080p because CS:GO isn't that demanding, but the reason I went for a better GPU for other games like bf4 and GTA 5, that's where it will show a significant difference in performance, also I chose better motherboard, memory, case, and power supply, I chose that motherboard because it supports crossfire, which will be more future-proof, you can change it to a cheaper motherboard like this : http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-h97anniversary

That is if you don't care about crossfire..

Have a nice day! :)

Hi thanks for the quick reply I appreciate it!
I'll will defo be upgrading to 16gb Ram in the future, do you recommend having a SSD? I wasn't really planing on having one, how do you think this will cope with Battlefield 4 atm? Also If I were to just play CS on it is there any way I could reduce the price? Thank you!!

I always say this but SSD is the single best upgrade to any PC

Just get a cheap 120 for windows and to install CSGO on, you wanna be first in the match right, not loading the map for an age off your HDD.

BF4 is very optimized, you can get that running like a nut on 380 no problem, easy solid 70fps+with a few tweaks

Thank You!
I appreciate the response! If I'm honest I dont really know much about GPU that is why I picked the one I did! If i were to play Battlefield on this rig what quality and FPS do you think I could play it at? Also just a quick question, I am considering buying COD BO3 for PC and was just wondering how demanding the game is/ would I be able to play it on this setup? Thank you for your time!

Thank you!
I will defiantly consider SSD! Could you possibly edit my draft and post it on here? That would be very useful!
I appreciate the support!

Don't consider a SSD, get one and thank me later

if you could try a pc now with and without, you would instantly snap one up, so many people skimp on them but it does so much for your sanity.

Games load mega quick, everything in windows is ultra snappy, no HDD's chewing away every time request something

SSD's are the best upgrade you can do

Samsung 850 120gb are about 50quid, I think crucial do even cheaper ones that are decent

Def go with 380 on your budget

Not too confuse you further but I had a corsair 200r for a few months, case constantly had the side panel off because of poor airflow, dunno what it was about it but it was pretty bad, front fan did almost nothing. try something else, I gotta go but sure someone here can revise your build. If you can afford a 380 and a 4690k that would be grand, that cpu will last you for years.

I will get one then, I have had particularly bad experiences with slow computers so I'm sure this will help. Thank you!

For cs:go and cod BO3 alone, this will suffice with 60+ fps EASILY for cs go and BO3, this will give slightly better than ps4 performance.. and a safe decision would be to get an i3.. this will give slightly better than ps4 performance..

Regarding my previous post, this should play BF4 (med-high for your draft) high setting @1080p with hopefully more than 60 fps, and call of duty is known to be easy to run, you should get 60+ fps at highest settings.
About the SSD, I personally don't mind wait time of hard drives, but SSD while offer less storage and are more expensive, they can reduce load and boot times significantly, for ex. in a HDD it would probably take about 1:30 min or so to boot up the computer and windows, and with an ssd it would take LESS than 30 seconds, so they are recommended..

BTW why do you need 16gb of ram? 8gb is more than enough unless your doing some heavy work..

Hopefully I answered your questions, I'm sorry if I missed something.. :)

Hi,
I think that I'll choose your build, as I have a little extra cash do you think I should get an i3/i5? Also do you think I should get it build for me or build it myself?
Thank you!

get an i5, more future-proof, and games are requiring quad cores in the future.. but for now i3 SHOULD be enough, but highly recommended i5, and you should built the pc yourself, it's really easy! Not only do you learn from it, it's much cheaper! it's very easy, there are thousands of tutorials out there, pre-built ones are very overpriced

Ok so to confirm, this build (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/pW9ZMp) would run CS and BO3 very well and it would run battlefield quite well? I think that if this runs BF4 well I will get this PC so I want to be sure. You have been very helpful this evening and I really appreciate the effort you have put in to helping me! BTW I just added an i5 to your previous list.

As I said that build is made for BO3 and CS since they are very low demanding games, it can run BF4 but maybe at med-high settings, you should be fine since it's slightly better than the ps4, but don't expect to run bf4 at desired settings, if money is tight get an i3 + gtx 950, if you have enough room in your budget get an i5 + gtx 950 or even better an r9 380..

also if you are willing for your pc to last 3 more years get a more expensive i5 4690k..

so you have to choose between these:
1-(http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/MHpYxr) Minimum, will run cs and bo3 more than fine, bf4 will have console like settings, but still playable, med-high settings, 900-1080p, 30-60 fps

2- (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Psv7xr) *Recommended* mid range pc, will obliterate cs and bo3, will run bf4 at decent settings with good frame rates, will last longer..

3-(http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/C9RX6h) very good pc, overkill for cs and bo3, will run bf4 at pretty good settings and frame rates with above 60 fps in high, also the most future-proof and will last the longest...

Hope this helps!
