High end pc, bad fps

As the title points out, i have a high end pc, and i get around 220 fps on CS:GO, and i can tell i do get bad performance on other games too. Why?
P.S. I have tried probably everything for fps boosts etc. (from downgrading and reinstalling clean drivers, to changing settings, having close to nothing on my SSD.)

-My setup.

GPU: GeForce GTX 960 4GB
CPU: i7-4790k @4.00GHz
Memory: 16GB 1600MHz
Operating System: Windows 7

Anyone with knowledge that can help?

220fps is bad? I can see if you were getting like 30fps it wouldn't be good but 220? can you even tell the difference at that point?

Lol i cant tell 30 from 120 xD
If you feel like you want more performance you can try overclocking or reinstall drivers with ddu

If you oc you will get better performance for sure

Or get +1 gtx 960

Technically speaking there is a very small chance you could tell the difference between the two the human eye can only take in so much information on overage this is 150 frames a second and if you have a 144MHz monitor you wont see any difference above 144 fps.

I highly doubt that. I think a part of your problem is that you have a 60hz monitor which will be capped to 60fps.

Erm man i have a 1440x900 60hz monitor but im having no performance issues im not the OP here

dude this is not a forum for guessing and playing wiyh others as a lot of people will be trying to solve the issue that they have using the threads, if you wanna play or guess you better try it with kids learning in 2nd standard, maybe they will guess your solution

There is no soultion without facts untill we have no facts we can only guess
There arent many monitors that has higher than 144hz and if your fps is higher than your monitors refresh rate thats not pleasing
Aiming at 400fps is only a thing if your monitor can do more than 400hz

You see im trying to solve the issue too was just waiting an answer from op no need to get mad about it
