Can i put this graphics card on my pc?

Hey guys i just bought A new XFX R7 250x and a corsair CX500M.
the problem is when i installed the new card my monitor wont respond. but when i switch back to the old card it works fine. what could be the problem. my motherboard?

This are the specs to my computer everything is the same except the fan that i switched.http://support.hp.com/lv-en/document/c03359045

is your monitor HDCP certified? If your monitor is extremely old this may be the cause.

I have to apologize for I did not see the link your posted in your first post.

Seems that your monitor is HDCP certified via HDMI and DVD. So that pretty much throws out my suggestion. :(

No, they are backwards compatble.

Remove the card, plug back into the motherboard, turn on the pc and enter the bios. Turn off "secure boot" and save.

Put the card back in and try again.
