WiFi connected but no internet but internet works via LAN

I have been having more and more wifi problems recently and I wonder if my router is just calling it quits.

I have a Netgear WNDR 3400 and a Surfboard SB6121. My desktop is connected via LAN to the WNDR3400 and works fine. All wireless devices can connect to the WNDR3400 via 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz but there is no internet connection.

I recently did a hard reset of the WNDR3400 and updated the firmware because my once great connection to the roku two rooms away has been getting worse and worse. It did not seem to help much but has at least worked okay. And then today no internet via wifi.

Your router is an N600 router, and is several years old at this point. If the LAN works fine, and the WiFi does not across multiple devices, and rebooting the modem and router has not fixed it, then the router is the culprit.

The symptoms of less and less range, and then no internet via WiFi is how my last few routers have gone kaput.

You will need a new router, and look for an AC1200 or faster one for the replacement.
