Hi all,

I recently posted this thread "http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2844241/1500-aud-cad-gaming-design-ideas.html" and have come to the conclusion that I would like to spend more to maybe get a little more.

Alright so at the moment, my current pick list is as follows:

http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/pKcLZL - $1880.50 AUD. (This is for around the $1900-$2000 mark and is most likely what I would be aiming for, but maybe the bank (my personal account) would allow something more.)

If you have any idea of what could be better, e.g. x99 (which I have been thinking about), 980TI. Please note that, I am just trying to get an idea because I can't be exactly sure of what I am willing to spend at the moment and parts can be taken out to meet my budget more easily.

I do want to mainly be playing Games off this machine! If the $2500 budget is used, please include a monitor, because I have heard that 1080p on 980TI is not taking full advantage of the card.

I really keen to hear what you all think.

**** CURRENCY IS AUSTRALIAN DOLLAR ****

Thanks

Well, definitely a 980 Ti is overkill for 1080p gaming. Both 980 ti & Titan X are the most powerful video card on the market right now. So, 4K resolution is suitable for these cards.
I would say, better move on with a 1080p resolution. Yes, the card is overkill for now but after years who knows, 980 Ti may struggle at 1080p gaming. That's one theory.

My suggestion would be, wait until pascal release
or
try one of these builds: (Previous year Devil Canyon)
