Hi there,

Since a week or so my games are running slower then they used to be. I have a GTX 770 and my pc even shows framedrops by playing League of Legends. Normal my computer can run games like far cry 60fps but now it's hardly 30fps

PC SPECS
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Anniversary
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2x4)
Storage: Western Digital Blue 1TB
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO Basic
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 770
Case: Corsair SPEC-01
Power Supply: Cooler Master VSM 650W

- All my drivers are updated, my graphic drivers has been updated by Geforce Experience
- Tried to update my BIOS, but no result

Any ideas?!?!

Greetings

I tested another game, Dying Light, running about 15 fps, which used to be 60fps ;(

do you monitor cpu and gpu temps?

did you recently update to windows 10?

did you change windows power settings?

do you monitor cpu and gpu temps?
Here is a screenshot of the temperatures when playing Far Cry 4:

did you recently update to windows 10?
Yes i did, but thats about a month ago. Im almost sure it has nothing to do with windows 10.

did you change windows power settings?
Yes i did while solving another problem of my pc:
My pc sometimes has random reboots with the following critical error: kernel power 41 (63)
This problem is still not solved and the power settings didn't solve this problem so i changed back my power settings to recommended

your cpu does not seem to be getting past low power state

go into the bios and disable all power savings features after loading optimized defaults

then go into windows and choose high performance under power options

monitor cpu temps while playing a game, i think this is most likely the cause of your issues

My BIOS settings are default because i recently updated my BIOS and didn't change anything so do i still have to look for power saving features? So i didn't change my BIOS settings (yet)

I selected high performance in the power options and it seems to work!!!
I played Far Cry, with fraps so you can see the fps. When i put the power options screen on top of it and change the settings you instantly can see the fps change!

Thank you so much, can i do anything more to increase my performance ( i dont really know if the performance now is 100%)

Is this also a solution for the KernelPower problem?

if you have update the bios recently, going into the bios and loading optimized defaults is a good idea.

yes, you can run a benchmark program like 3dmark, or valley and post back with your scores

that error can be cause by a program not shutting down properly, it can also be cause by energy saving states like sleep or hibernate

so its a good idea to disable those

Didnt changed the BIOS settings yet, it's a bit scary for me

I did run the 3dmark test, im not familiar with this program so accidently cancelled the full test, but here are my results:

Is this a good score for my pc?
