Hi guys, I'm upgrading my pc soon and I want to be able to play the new games like Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Seige, Hitman 2016 (the one thats bring released in March 2016) and The Division etc on ultra @ 60fps.

Will these following specs suffice?

Intel® 4th Generation Core™ i7-4790 (3.6GHz, 8M Cache, 8x Cores, Turbo 4.0Ghz) Quad Core CPU

MSI Z97 GUARD PRO LGA 1150 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Gaming Motherboard

MSI Gaming Twin Frozr V GTX 970 4GB 256bit DDR5 OVERCLOCKED EDITION Graphics Card

256GB SSD Upto 500MB/s + Speed Ultra-Fast Solid State Drive (OS DRIVE)

8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz High Performance Gaming RAM with Heat Spreader

Antec 500W 80+ High Performance Power Supply

Antec GX300 Clear Side Panel USB3.0 Case.

Any advice will be much appreciated! :) The pc (with that specs is about +/- $1300, and no I can't afford the Titan graphics card

Solution
Your power supply is barely doing the job, if you can afford it I'd get a 550-600w power supply. Besides that, it's a very solid system and will definitely max out new games.

Your plan is appropriate, and will work.

But...
With Skylake now available, there is absolutely no question in my mind that a new build should be Skylake.
a. Prices for cpu, z170 motherboard and ddr4 ram are almost precisely the same.
b. 6600K has an estimated 5-10% performance improvement per clock over haswell.
c. 14nm runs cooler, you get a decent overclock without the need for exotic cooling.
d. The Z170 chipset permits the use of much faster ssd devices on the horizon. Samsung 950 pro for example:

Few games can use more than 2-3 cores, so the hyperthreads if a & will go largely unused.
A I5 will perform equally well in games and is cheaper.
