Hello guys,

I have 8 GB RAM (G.SKILL Sniper DDR3-1333) and I would like to buy a CPU and a motherboard. My question is would these three components mentioned in the title be a good match? Do you have any other suggestions for a price conscious shopper? (I am looking for the best value for the money. This computer will be used for software development).
If anyone has anything to say against this marriage please speak now or forever hold your peace.

Thank you in advance,

Corneliu

EDIT: I forgot to mention that in case you want to recommend another motherboard, I would prefer those without uefi for pain-free Linux installation.

Solution

I mean that the CPU you have would draw more power from the motherboard than it's capable of which will burn up the slot.

Thanks, interesting stuff. One last question. I think this mobo has uefi. I edited my original post to ask for non-uefi mobos for Linux reasons. What does GIGABYTE mean by UEFI DualBIOS? Will it be easy to bypass the uefi crap? If not, can you recommend a non-uefi mobo?

You can install Linux on UEFI BIOS', it just takes some extra work.
