I've scanned through multiple threads here, trying many different things that seemed like they would work, yet still no luck. So far I have tried:
Restarting my computer (Just to make sure)
Uninstalling any audio aspects that were installed with the graphics card
Disabled everything have to do with the new graphics card in the sound options
Disabled everything and tested sounds on everything multiple times
Selected my graphics card to be the default (Xonar DS) and tried to use the Xonar DS Audio center to change some settings, with no luck
Unplugged everything and cleaned the jacks, and put them back in
and I believe reinstalled my sound cards driver (http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=21&s=1&m=Xonar+DS&os=&hashedid=wcFuNdxM0I4Sf10X 8.1 64 bit)

Any ideas on what needs to be done to finally fix this problem?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this

What is the playback device you have selected? Do you have speaker or are you using the speakers in your monitor/tv.

On your taskbar right click on the sound icon and see what output you have selected.

And did you get a new graphics card or a new sound card? You have been calling the Xonar DS as your graphics card, but that is a sound card.

Also I have Realtek, but I've tried making that a default, along with using it's control panel, but still haven't gotten any sound to work on anything, and switched back to my Xonar one.

I've now uninstalled my graphics card, removed it, replaced it, and installed new drives again, along with making sure the sound settings are still correct, but still no luck :<

I'm sure it is, but I have no idea what the problem is, and I sure as hell am not doing a fresh start of Windows, and I don't think anything is, it says that the realtek is the front of my computer so I'm guessing the one it came with, and I'm just trying to use the Xonar one

And now i unhooked my sound card, put it back in, and it says it can't be found anymore, and I don't even know if I have the right god damn drivers for this Xonar DS 7.1 sound card since the ASUS site says that the drivers are in beta for 8.1
