Should i be worried? So basically today i changed my thermal paste.I am using a CM HyperX Evo212 with my i7 4770 non k [NON OC]. I used Arctic Silver 5. My idle temps are around 35-40 (With like browser open) If i run like a Stress test in this case prime95 for 1 minutes in my temps seem to stable around 65-70c. Would these results get better when the thermal paste sets in like 1-2 days. Note: I am using 6 fans= 2x Front 2x Top 1x Back 1x Bottom.
Checked temps using Speccy and hwmonitor

Ok thanks for the replies

seemed like at frist build my idle temps were a little higher than what they are now so that may still go down some over time ???

I run this bench

http://www.numberworld.org/y-cruncher/

and the 1,000,000,000 pi multi thread and my top temp gets to about 70-74c max doing it ?? option -0- enter option -1- enter test 6- enter

I can run it quick and check hang on

well 76c this run temps with all this running in the background as well ?? pounded it right out -0- issues

I ran asus rog realbench for like 15min and i averaged like 69c max was like 73c so i think i am fine. When i run prime95 small ftp or whatever the name was like 10s in and my cpu is like 95c so i stop it. Does that hurt my cpu. When i applied my thermal paste my heatsink moved many times. Is my thermal paste fine and also when i put the heatsink on one of my screws was not even in lol so like 3 screws were tightened and the 1 was a bit loose.
Update
I ran the intel stress test for 15min and my max was like 75c

cool- ya, you got to be careful with some stress test . they will run things up until it quits and may cause damage in doing so ..

looking at things as normal use your temps look fine

with that intel test it also should give what your thermal margin is as well [the cpu temp below its max ] any way seems to look good to me

how bout that y cruncher ? would like to see your results to compare that i7 to this i5 in that run ??

enjoy
