Recently i got into this game called SuperPower 2: Steam Edition i'll provide a link to it on steam for you can check it out if you're interested.

so anyway. I want to start a game server for i can host games. so what would i need in order to do that? I look around, and a lot of game server renting are only for games like CS:GO, CoD, Battlefield and other First person shooters. I want to like build my own dedicated server for this game. I looked around and came across this one post which said your bill would be extremely high if you do build a dedicated server. So i am not sure what do do.

As far as I can tell, given the age of the game and the system requirements, pretty much any computer built in the last 10 years could be run as a host server. Something like this Zotac Mini-desktop would probably run it just fine.

As far as electrical costs, I don't know what you would consider extremely high, but I have two systems that are running 24/7 (never enter sleep mode) and my monthly bills are (what I consider reasonable).

does the Zotac work on Windows 7 Home Premium?

You won't be able to host a server on a Windows 7 Home box, it has limited inbound connections, so only a few people at a time can connect to the computer. Same thing for any non-server Windows version actually.

Windows 7 home premium can have 20 active TCP connections, so you could likely host a near 20 person server (maybe only 19 or 18).

Google the games specific server setup, as everygame does it a bit differently. There isn't any general server setup guide, beyond having to open specific ports in your firewall, which you can also google as well.

This depends if you are building a computer to host it on. If you do build it the easy part comes after the build. What ISP (Internet Service Provider) Do you have? Once you are done with building you can go to your ISP's page and depending on what it is.. In my case at&t you go to firewall - applications pinholes etc. If your game isn't already listed there you can make your own port forward and then you enter the port number in and so on. Then you are ready to host your server!
