I am currently trying to finish my first build. However, my 24 pin ATX cable for my motherboard does not seem to be working correctly.

Whenever it is connected to power and the cable is in it doesn't seem to do anything. This is until you pull it to an angle so only the bottom few pins are connecting. this then lets the hard drives and led power light on, however it still doesn't show display on the screens and the usb ports don't appear to function either.

So I don't know if there is a fault with the ATX cable from the PSU or the socket on the mobo. I will list the Motherboard & PSU below:

Motherboard - Asus B85M-G: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00E5QLLEY

PSU - Corsair CXM 600W Modular: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ALYOTTI

Thanks, Morgan

Solution
The CX series is notorious for the 24pin not fitting correctly.
You have to apply a seemingly excessive amount of force on some occasions for it to fit in completely, and even then the latch may not line and click into place.
