Hey everyone,

I recently bought a new laptop (hp touchsmart 15) with intentions to play games (league of legends, counter strike, gta v).

The specs are: i7 4700mq, 16gb ram and a 840m.

However, during every gaming session it really messes up my pc. The screen and sound freeze and I can't do anything for about a minute. It's not too hot because cpu gets 60-70 at most and the gpu never climbs higher than 65 degrees celsius.

I also have the newest drivers.

Anybody has any ideas on how to fix this ???

Make sure that your laptop is plugged in and set to high performance under power management in the control panel, otherwise your laptop may be using integrated graphics which are way worse. Also make sure you are using somewhat lower graphics settings because a 840m is definitely capable of gaming but not at super high settings.
