It's not quite as good as the Samsung EVO but is still a perfectly good SSD. For a higher price it wouldn't make much sense, but you could certainly get it and still have a good drive.

Spoke too soon. Refuses to boot when installed internally, even after formatting & installing over USB.
850 EVO clearly doesn't work with 2012 MacBook Pro, even though they advertise it.......from apple forum......true or false
