PC build speed with 1x8 gig of RAM?

Hello people, I intend to do a PC build for €770 using 1x8gb of HyperX Fury DDR3 RAM @ 1866MHz, I'm just wondering would I get great speed with this RAM? :)

As the guys have said you'll get better performance if you use 2x4GB set in dual channel model. Plus if one stick fails you can still use you computer while you get it fixed/replaced.
