I'm looking to build a gaming pc. It needs to be able to run games at MAX SETTINGS.

I live in Australia so preferably places here. Gamedude.com.au is usually the cheapest for parts, also Umart.

My budget is $1500.

I have made 2 builds already, an AMD and an INTEL. Obviously the Intel is a better processor, but take your time. Compare the two builds to what they actually are and how they are going to preform based on my needs.

AMD BUILD: http://i.imgur.com/OnSn2gO.png

If you want to build one for me, it needs to have the following items.

RAM: 16 GB
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA
SSD: 120GB (OPTIONAL)
HHD: 1 or 2 TB.
CASE: Small, Like the NIGHTBLADE cases.

An SSD would be nice to increase boot time, only a 120gb though.

Hybrid SSD's are alright, if you want to use them in your build you can, I'm fine with normal hdd's though.

the ssdnow v300 drives are literally junk compared to the 850 evo drives.
the wd black series are awesome, but unnecessary and money is better put into the better ssd or other parts. the blue series are excellent and plenty affordable.

The reason why i selected WD Black because they are better than SSHD.
Now, you can add whatever you like.

Good luck !

From where you're getting such kind of information?. Actually, SSDNow V300 are not that much bad as you think. It's better for price/performance ratio. I'm surprised that you called that SSD a junk.

The best alternative of SSHD can be WD Black, IMO.

The 850 evo is miles faster. You pay a little less you get MUCH less in this situation. The v300 is a low budget entry level SSD with poor construction. You should remove that v300 drive from your recommendations permanently unless you are building a super low budget machine, which this is not. There is information all over the internet ripping that drive to shreds. Just google it.

Okay.
Now, it's updated. Still, i would stick with the same price range & get a better Hard disk drive. Since, solid state drives help to reduce load times, for games a better HDD. That's what my opinion say's.
The reason why i haven't select a chase just because it depends on OP. So, whichever he like most including other peripherals.

ah thats what i figured with the case. i don't disagree with the wd black, just recommended using the money towards a better ssd. hard drive is really not going to effect game play at all, only load times. any decent 7200 rpm is fine in almost every scenario as a secondary drive to install games. an SSHD or expensive performance HDD doesnt make sense here IMO. At this price point that money can be put into a part that will have a bigger impact on performance or has overall better quality.

You haven't add 16 gig's of Memory within that amount and spend dollars on a Xeon chip. There could be one reason, get a better cpu for now later you can add another 8 gig memory stick. I would do the same, still anyhow i tried to save some dollars. Just because games don't push more than 4 cores, it will be fine with the 4460 & with 4 less HT.
