I haven't really kept up with MB features and the PCIE lanes in regards to how many most MB have now and how many get use by what and such. I am trying to make sure whatever MB i get I won't run into any potential bottleneck issues in regards to that.
I am building a system based on the Intel 6700k. I am using a GTX 970 graphics card and I have 3 sata 3.0 ssd. I'm basically trying to stay under the $200 dollar range for the MB. Any advice or a short explanation of how to decipher the whole how many lanes are open for what would be appreciated.
I'm upgrading from an FX-8350/ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 and 16gb of 1866 ddr3 So I'm expecting a pretty decent increase overall. and I am trying to research this as well so I'm not a complete lazy person rofl.
