RAM Speed + Cas Latency

What would be better for a typical user who does high end gaming:

16gb DDR3 1600mhz at CL7
16gb DDR3 2133mhz at CL9

Do the latencies effectively cancel the speed difference? Might be worth noting that i can buy either for around £80

Cas latency 9 is still pretty good. I doubt their would be any noticeable difference between them in games. I would say the 2133mhz set would be best but I like i said i doubt you would ever notice the diffrence.

I concur with Dunlop0078.
And technically speaking yes, the higher you go with Mhz the higher the Cas latency. But the Mhz boost "makes up" for the lose in latency.

Thanks, if only there was some sort of tool that calculated the the effective real world performance as the mhz and latency increase!
