CPU Cooler Question

I have found an OCZ Vendetta 2 in my cupboard from an old PC. Is the OCZ vendetta still a worthy CPU cooler or would I be better of getting a new after market cooler.
AMD FX 6300 Slight overclock to 3.75Ghz

I do not think that particular cooler came with mounts compatible with your cpu socket.

If there is a adapter that you can find/buy, then the cooling part should be reasonable.

I have mounted to my motherboard ( A bit of tinkering ). I just wonder if there would be a noticeable difference in a newer CPU cooler.

Since you have done it, why not try it out and see if the cooling is satisfactory.?
If your case has decent airflow, I think it should work well enough.

I will try for a week, If satisfactory i will leave it. If not I will purchase something like an Hyper Evo 212
