Now, I have a hunch that it is my motherboard, but I'm not 100%. I built my computer almost a year ago, and it's been working alright for my first build. Haven't run into too many problems that I haven't been able to solve easily until today.... I was on my pc, then I went to class, came back an hour later and my pc was off. Thought it was strange so I went to turn it back and and it started up, fans and led all work but there was no signal and no visible power to usb devices hooked up. It won't post, but if I recall correctly it doesn't always post for me normally. I did try running with no RAM and got the chain of long beeps, tried taking my graphics card out, unplugging the PSU, cycling the power, tried booting with my graphics card out and reseting the cmos. Nothing works, ide like to say that my MOBO is garbage because of the ports not working but then again it could be a PSU issue, and from what I've read it's highly unlikely that my cpu would fail before the other two. My MOBO is an MSi 760gma. Any thoughts on what could be the issue?

I benched it and no luck, was only running cpu, mobo, ram, and psu. No post still, and no signs of life. (Although it does give me the 3 beeps when the ram is removed.) I'm really thinking it's a bad mobo, I took out the cpu and it looks as good as new and I wasn't having problems with speed prior. GPU is not the issue, I'm hesitant to think that the psu would cause this problem, but I'm not sure. I think I'm going to purchase a new motherboard tonight and see if that fixes anything.

Horrible horrible news. I got the new mobo, put my cpu in it nothing (come to find out later that 5 pins completely broke off my cpu.) But I think it's a do mobo so what do I do? Try my old amd processor and what happens? A pin bends on accident as I put it in and didn't notice, fire it up and instantly smell smoke, where the pin bent it burned and melted part of the connector on the mobo. So now I need to buy a new processor and I still don't know what the problem is.
