Hi there!
My youngest brother came to me and asked if I knew of a good PC build for World of Tanks that wouldn't cost any more than $300, and could play it on low to medium settings. I've researched a few builds that might come close, but I can't seem to find anything of value. Given, I'm a software developer and not a hardware guy- so I'm hoping someone might be able to help?
I've also never played World of Tanks, which means I only know what I've read- And that amounts to nothing, because I've read anything from "It can be ran on a toaster" to "You'll need a Titan to run it at medium settings." (The latter of which, if true- I'm just going to tell the kid we need to find him a different game.)
In the build, I won't require a monitor, mouse, keyboard, operating system, or hard drive(I'll be using one of my spares). As for a case, I can probably try to find one that would fit based on whatever we'd be putting in it( So if we can spare ~$20 so I can pick one up secondhand that would be great, otherwise.. I could probably just scrap one from an old desktop I have around somewhere, and try to make it work. In fact, if you even have any tips I can use to stick to the budget- That would be fantastic as well.
In terms of what I have locally available that's used and on craigslist, there's a Dell Optiplex 780 Core 2 Duo, E7600 that supposedly runs at 3.06Ghz(in case it might be advantageous just to buy that for $99, and upgrade/add from there to stay within budget)
Thank you in advance!
