Limit bandwidth on netgear guest network

I have a netgear n600 router with a guest network enabled for my many guests that are constantly visiting. I have QoS setup so that my direct household family's devices are the highest priority. But the guest's are always using too much bandwidth for me to be able to game very well. Is there a way I can limit the bandwidth speed of the guest network?

Most factory QoS option don't accomplish much. They can only limit the upload speed and it tends to be download that is over used in most places.

Hard to say n600 does not really identify the netgear device. Your best bet is to see if there is third party firmware like dd-wrt that you can load. Even then you need a fairly advanced configuration. You can not just give your machine priority on download since the ISP is in full control. All you can try to do is define a group that matches everything except your main machines and limit that group to a fixed download bandwidth hopefully leaving enough for your other machines.
