My new Graphics Card is not detected

My new Gpu is Sapphire r9 380 but when i installed it to my computer after disabling the onboard graphics it doesnt get detected and only says standard vga graphics adaptor please help

my powersupply is brandnew too its a corsair cx750 and yes its plugged into the gpu and the fans and lights are working in my gpu
