Alright, well since the posts i have found only mention the cpu being over clocked, thought id make a post.

Anyways, I have been thinking about OC'ing my 2700k, so i got to monitoring a few things before i attempted to do so, did a quick stress test on the intel extreme tuning, and apparently my cpu temps sky rocket into the 90C range! right now its idling around 50C sometimes higher. Saw some other posts of OC'd guys with way lower idle temps. So I have no clue what is going on.

Yeah the H80i GT or H75 will be fine.

If you are using the stock cooler, I would suggest replacing it, the Hyper 212 evo is good on a budget.

Otherwise, simply replacing the thermal paste and reseating the heatsink would likely fix it.

Cool was going to add another ssd but looks like water cooled will be more important. And as far as my overclocking goes on the 2700k what kind of voltage do i need to run to get into the 4.5ghz range? And last question is oc'ing ram worth while?
