my computer have 2GB VGA but its showing only 256MB

If its iGPU uses system memory, it is dynamic. That means it will access more system memory for its use as needed and as available up to 2GB. If the laptop has a discrete card with 2GB of dedicated VRAM, then it is probably using the iGPU when you take the reading. In that case, the dedicated GPU will be switched on and used when needed. Like in a game.
