I recently upgraded to a MSI gtx 980 Ti from a gtx 960. I started it up with Witcher 3 to test it out, ran perfectly but after about 15 mins into the game I got a really loud buzzing noise from the PC. Could be coil whine, but its more of a buzz.
I ran MSI Afterburner and put the fans on 100% to see if that was the cause - it was practically silent (only ran it for about 30 seconds).
Then I decided to install my CPU cooler I had purchased a while back (Cooler Master Hyper T4), which was done and all worked fine. However I still got the same issue 5 mins into Witcher 3.
I have read online and found some things relating to PSUs. Not sure if this could be the issue, as the minimum requirements are 600W for the 980.
My specs are:
Motherboard: Asus Z97-K
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k
GPU: MSI GTX 980 Ti
RAM: 8gb (2 x 4gb Kingston)
PSU: Cooler Master Thunderstorm 700W
