My pc specs are:
i5 4440 3.1 ghz
ram:corsair vengence 8gb
+ other external speakers+mouse+keyboard+fans+monitor etc.My pc works on a 450 watt psu normally, but i am getting a Asus Strix r90 390x. How much watt power supply do i need to run the card?will a 650 watt be enough or do i need a 750 watt?

There's a lot more to it that "650W" or "750", for example, a quality 500W unit would serve you much better than a poor 850W in most situations.

I would estimate the R9 390X will add up to 300W at full load to your power draw.

It would be helpful to post your full specs, so we can factor in even the smallest power requirements of Motherboards, SSDs or HDDs.

Unless you have some other major power draw I'm not thinking of, I would suggest a quality 550W would be the absolute minimum you could likely run it on, but would recommend 650W ideally. A PSU draws what the system needs, it doesn't 'waste' energy, so it won't hurt to go for an even larger W capacity, but make sure you buy a quality unit.

Anything from Tier 1 or 2 650W or...
