ok so i got a dell latitude d610 for my daughter it came with windows xp everything worked fine. i updated to windows 8.1 and couldnt get the multimedia audio to work so i went back to xp and everything worked again. she wanted a newer os so i again updated but this time to win 7 pro i got the audio working and got all other drivers installed including wireless everything runs great until i try to connect to my home wifi.it recognizes my wifi but when i put in my code it wont connect i have 4 other laptops and 4 phones connected to my wifi and they connect with no issues this is the only one im having issues with any suggestions?

Your wireless probably use a wpa2 code and your old wireless card only support wpa. Seen this many times with older wireless cards.
wow lol i feel like a noob after uninstalling all network drivers reinstalling them reinstalling win 7 again i realized the wifi symbol was off lmao so after finally reinstalling everything i simply turnt wifi on and pow it worked lol
