Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could please tell me if my Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard would allow me to install the MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 100ME Graphics Card - 4 GB GDDR. I've had my PC for about 2.5 years and I currently have a GTX660 in it, but I didn't want to buy the card if there would be compatibility issues.
If there would be, is there an alternative 970 that would work?

Thank you!

Solution
Hi Matrumlus,

Yes, your board has a PCIe x16 slot, so it will support the MSI GeForce GTX 970. Make sure your PSU is also able to handle that card as well, as it requires an 8-pin PCIe power cable.
