Hey All,

I'm looking to build a half decent gaming desktop PC with a budget of 750-800 CAD, not US dollars.
I already have a desktop screen, mouse, and keyboard. I would really like to have a dedicated GPU, ideally with 2GB. Any suggestions for a computer build with components that are for sure compatible? I am looking to play mostly Blizzard games but also a few more demanding games (like the new Battlefield).

I think that something like this would be decent if you want to buy everything new, however, you can get a pretty beefy rig if you go for some used components (especially the GPU)

I say try getting some used components because for the same price as the new 750ti, you can probably get a used R9 280 which will wipe the floor with the 750ti. Another thing is that you can probably find some older i5s or i7s for much cheaper too with motherboards due to people upgrading to skylake and the older CPUs can still play games nearly as well.

You can choose between a new future proof rig [Intel] or a best value gaming rig [AMD].
You will get solid frame rates with both systems.
