The Zalman is gonna be a little louder than the Cooler Master. So there is that to take in to account. I personally hate noise so I'd go with the Cooler Master and deal with adjusting the fan up a couple mm, but thats me. Go with whichever looks like less of a pain for you and is in your budget.
Ok first the cooler you have picked out will work. Your ram has a height of 40mm, the Hyper 212 Evo has a stock clearance of 37mm BUT you can raise the fan up those 3mm and have it work just fine. It doesn't really affect cooling and its dead simple to do.

But should you decide you dont want to go that route I'd also look at the CRYORIG H7. Its gotten a lot of love on these forums, performs better than the Hyper 212 Evo and there is no ram clearance issue with the cooler. The only thing I've heard bad about the Zalman 9900 Max is its a bit on the loud side, otherwise it does seem to test better than the Hyper 212 Evo.

Take a look at your options to buy the CoolerMaster, The Cryorig and the Zalman and see whats cheaper. They all look to have a similar setup for mounting on the motherboard. The Cooler Master will require a bit of tweaking because of memory overhang, but the Cryorig and the Zalman will not. I know from experience that the Coolermaster is very quiet at idle and barely loud at full load. The Cryorig has a similar fan so I'd expect the same from them. Zalman I've only read as being on the loud side but no numbers were given so that may just be a subjective opinion, if not a popular one.

When checking reviews like https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zalman/CNPS9900_MAX/1.html I'm not so sure it's the best cooler. Have you considered other coolers like the Noctua NH-U12S (it clears the memory slots) or the Phanteks PH-TC12DX (it should also clear the memory slots)? https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Noctua/NH-U12S/ Unlike the Zalman, the Noctua and the Phanteks were tested using a more modern CPU and they both are better than the 212 Evo.

Some of the reviews from that newegg link says it has ram clearance issue, which is why OP can't use the 212 EVO.

He can easily use the Evo. The 3mm that OP would need to raise the fan is nothing and easily done.

Overall, the Raijintek Aidos is fairly impressive for it low price and small size. Granted, it wont win awards for best quality or low noise, but it actually is one of the best-performing coolers at said low price-point. Even its performance speaks for itself when looking at lower-wattage CPUs, as the fan favorite Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO was edged out by Raijintek's Aidos. But its small size does limit its use with enthusiast-level CPUs and larger overclocks.

Not really understanding why you think you cant use it. The H440 (fantastic case by the way, just built one up last week) has a clearance for CPU coolers of 180mm. The Evo is 159mm at stock height. Even if you were to raise the fan 3-4 mm to compensate for memory (bringing it to 163mm at worst) you'd still have a ton of head room for the cooler before it hit the limit.

If you want to go with a different cooler, then by all means go for it. We've thrown a bunch of options at you. All you need is a cooler that is LGA1150 compliment, under 180mm tall, with the ability to deal with RAM 40mm in height.

Whoops so I did. To many "T"s in names and too many forum posts makes for a confused me.
