I was which system would give me better results for Fallout 4 graphics and fps wise
My current PC Specs are:
AMD FX-8350
GTX 750Ti
8gb RAM
1tb Hard Drive

Yes, it will run better on your PC.

The FX-8350 is more powerful than the CPU in the Xbox One.

The Xbox One's graphics card is about equivalent to a Radeon HD 7790. The PS4's graphics card is about equal to the Radeon HD 7850. The GTX 750 Ti is basically equal to the Radeon HD 7850 (equal to what's in the PS4 and more powerful than what's in the Xbox One).

I believe Fallout 4 is rendered at 1080p on both Xbox and PS4, but is locked at 30 FPS. However, Fallout 4 should be better optimized on the consoles because all Xbox One and PS4 have the same hardware. That is definitely not true for the PC.

Wouldnt you say though it would still look/run better on console with those specs though? Sure the hardware is about equivalent, but the PC port is generally historically harder to run, not to mention the hardware, specifically the GPU, is just at the min specs.

Or is that faulty logic.

Fallout 4 minimum requirements:
OS: Windows 7 64-bit.
Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent.
Memory: 8GB RAM.
Graphics: GeForce GTX 550 Ti with 2GB VRAM.

You beat every section. You should be able to run on Medium atleast with more than 30fps. Xbox one and PS4 look like a pc on low (bad render distance, low AA)

I stated his PC has better specs than the Xbox One and the game will run better on his PC. Those are the 1st two sentences of my original post.

I stated...

However, Fallout 4 should be better optimized on the consoles because all Xbox One and PS4 have the same hardware. That is definitely not true for the PC.

Because all Xbox One and PS4 consoles will have the same hardware. No matter where you or when you buy a Xbox One or PS4 they will all have the same hardware. The hardware only changes when a new generation console is released. PCs comes in many configurations. If you ask 1000 people to list all the specs of their PC, the odds are pretty low that 2 people will have the same exact hardware. Therefore, the game will not be optimized for the PC because there are at least hundreds of thousands of different hardware combinations especially if you take into consideration people are using 8 year old CPUs, motherboards, and RAM to play the game.

The ps4 uses an 8 core amd cpu running at 1.8GHz. OP has an 8 core amd cpu running at 3.5+GHz. The hd7850 and 750ti are pretty similar performance, so if the 750ti was set at @ the same settings as the ps4, it would still be the same. The ps4 games are optimized for 8 core usage, and 8 cores at 1.8 is faster than 2 cores at 3.5 overall. It's only by ability to raise settings that the pc has any advantage, 60fps, high/ultra, AA etc.

Games developed for PC must deal with legacy technology that in itself means the code must be more bloated for the PC version. The all Xbox One and PS4 have the same hardware so it is much more easier to optimize games since they do not have to take into consideration different or older architecture.

Regarding optimization for AMD CPUs... benchmarks have shown that in TES V: Skyrim an i5-2500k has about 25% better performance compared to the FX-8350 when both are running at stock speed and using the same GPU. Fallout 4 use an updated Creation Engine that was originally designed for Skyrim. I would say if both CPUs were used to benchmark Fallout 4, the i5-2500k would still hold a significant performance edge over the FX-8350.

Yep. Skyrim/Fallout engine is heavily single thread based, so it's basically a gimme that an intel cpu will show better performance than amd fx. Skyrim, heavily modded, only uses 1 core, maybe upto 3 with spillover, if running an enb, even lightly modded as is normal for the ps4, it'll still only use 2 cores. In fallout/skyrim a i3 2120 will hold its own vrs an OC 8350 fx.

That particular engine was used simply because it affords the broadest possible range of pc's. You can run fallout/skyrim on an old p4 if you choose to, graphics aren't really that invested, especially when put up against stuff like CoD, BF, Crysis etc

As others have already mentioned, games are optimized for console HW, especially the GPU. Every bit of performance is squeezed out of that console GPU. Hence if the PC and Console have similar HW specs in regards to general performance, the console wins in regards to game performance. I hear that you need a GPU at least 2 levels higher on the GPU Hierarchy chart to exceed the graphics performance you'd get from a game on the console.

And you could always OC your 750ti a bit with MSI Afterburner.
I did it with mine to match those faster EVGA Superclock cards.

That said, the XBOX 1 has a GPU that's basically an AMD Radeon HD 7780, which doesn't technically exist. It's hardware is inbetween a 7770 and a 7790.
Your 750ti is around 15-20% stronger than that, And you CPU is probably around 200% faster, because it has double the clockrate.
