My grandparent's computer had an issue with the account login. After fixing it many times, the OS (vista. you now feel my pain) finally quit, so now I am trying to do a reset to get rid of the corrupted files. It's an old pre-built micro-ATX computer, so it's difficult to get the hard drive back in, without spending a while trying to line everything back up and slot everything back in, and I have the drive out now, hooked up to a computer that is far superior in every way, so I would like to preform the reset on it instead of waiting for 3 hours for the drive to reset with it's rightful computer. So, I am looking for a software that would allow me to reset the drive. I have recommended to them that they get a new computer, and they are considering it, but they miss their steaming pile of vista, so they want me to reset as a last resort. I'm resetting it anyway. Please, help me with finding this software.

That does not exist.

It needs to be 'reset' or 'reinstalled', in the PC where it will live.
Have you considered that the drive may be dying?
