I only have 2GB of VRAM, and it has become an annoyance.
First with GTA V, and now it will be annoyance with Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which recommends at least 3GB of VRAM. I meet the overall system requirements with my FX 6300 (which is close enough to the minimum FX 6350), and my GTX 760 is one of the recommended GPUs. The game should run fine on my computer; after all the patching, Unity eventually looked pretty beautiful on my 1080p monitor. However, the VRAM issue is bothering me.
Black Friday is coming up, so I figure various GTX 970 4GB models will be cheaper than usual.
I was wondering, what would be the best move:
-Upgrade to the GTX 970 soon and keep it for a long time
-Make due with the GTX 760 for now, and wait for the GTX 1070 to upgrade (and then keep it for a long time)
-Get a cheap GTX 760 (e.g., http://www.amazon.com/Zotac-GeForce-Graphics-Model-ZT-70401-10P/dp/B00DKX0U0Y/), get a new PSU, and SLI
