Hi peeps! I just did a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate and I was wondering what the ideal order of driver installation was. My components are ASUS M5A97 rev 1.02 and a NVIDIA GTX 570 graphics card. I installed windows on a SSD and I don't want to mess this up! Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hello STLsoos,

It's always best to download the most updated drivers for your motherboard from the motherboard's website. Here it is:

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97/HelpDesk_Download/

Select Windows 7 64-bit from the OS selection and you will find the most recent drivers to install on your new system.

Order of driver installation should be: Motherboard drivers, video card drivers, then any others for peripherals.

My goal with this fresh install is to try and run Ark more efficiently... It's hard to do with the video card I have but it's just a place holder until I can build my new and improved machine. Does anyone know if installing Ark onto my SSD would run it smoother than on a storage HDD I have hooked up via SATA cables..?
It's a shame Ark is so poorly optimized because me and my friends love it. Again any tips or information would be greatly appreciated.

SSD drives don't have a huge impact on game performance. You'll notice a slight increase in level loading times, but gameplay quality still comes down to the graphics card and CPU.
