Hello I am trying to upgrade my 1 TB internal drive to a 3 TB internal.
What is the best way to do this?

Can I just clone my 1 TB drive using Macrium or Acronis and then just take out the old internal and
place the new cloned internal in the bay? Then boot right up?

Will the cloned larger drive work on Windows 7 just as the old drive did?

Its just like changing from a smaller size shoe to a bigger one right?

Drives larger than 2 TB need to use a GPT partition. In order to use a GPT partitioned drive as a boot drive in win 7 you also need a motherboard that supports UEFI. If you use the drive simply as a storage drive, then you don't need a UEFI motherboard.
