so i know this question may be thrown out alot, but i really would like to know if my pc is better than my ps4. im looking to buy games like mgs5 phantom pain, fallout 4, etc. i would like to know whether these next gen games will run better on my pc or ps4. my current specs are
processor: AMD FX- 8370E eight core processor 3.30GHZ
RAM: 8gb
video card: EVGA geforce gtx 960 SC 4GB
1TB Harddrive
windows 7 64bit
im hoping theres enough information up there. This may seem like a dumb question but i really dont know too much about pc components.

Please tell me this is a joke question

But in all seriousness OP, your pc is MILES above both consoles combined.

As mentioned above, both consoles dont even run both games at 1080p.

The sky (and your budget) is the limit on pc, consoles are limited by their "low" end hardware

Similar to my setup, its about the same as a PS4 if you ask me. If you OC the CPU & GPU it will beat PS4.

Bear in mind that lots of PS4 & Xbone games are being released at 720p/900p 30fps (which is shocking), so if you can get 40fps on high settings at 1080p (which you can with that setup) then its running better than PS4.

PS4 is running its game on 8 cores, but PC games is running at 4 cores
but even pc games is running on 4 cores, but your processor core is faster than ps4 core

so, your performance while gaming is half by your performance of all cores
so, maybe yes maybe no your processor is faster or same as ps 4

for your GPU is faster than ps4

In gaming gpu matters the most (the cpu of the ps4 is an amd running on 1.7ghz :( ) the fx 8350 is miles better
I could say a lot of advantages that the ps4 has but its specs are not one of thoes :/
It has 8gb gddr5 but thats about all
But the fact that your pc can beat a ps4 is not saying much there might be terribly optimized games running like crap on your pc while running fine 720p@30fps on the ps4
but you can play thoes games you want very well ;) with your pc

That is the other downside in my opinion, 30fps is just simply not enough for some people (such as myself included for example)

And 720p is below standard now days.

Most people are running at least 1080p and some are pushing 1440p/4k with at least 60fps throughout

Im using a gtx 970 gigabyte g1 gaming+i7 6700k build and still i think some games run better on my friends ps4
He is on the oposite opinion thou he is always into playing on my pc and leting me to play his ps4 xD might be related to he changed from a gtx 580+i7 based pc and i changed from an xbox 360
I think console gamers will like conoles better pc gamers will like pc better
This is already way off topic :D
Basically your pc is superior spec wise compared to a ps4 but that doesnt say much
However you will be able to run the games you want higher than console settings resolution and fps
