4k 40'' TV vs. 4k 28'' monitor

Solution
The monitor will have a much faster response time and greater pixel density. It will be a better choice for gaming. The only advantage a TV has is a larger display size.

Admirable
take the 28" monitor, anything over this size is just silly to be gaming on its really bad for your neck and your eyes, plus it has a nice 1ms refresh rate meaning if you're getting steady fps the reaction speed of the screen will be vey good.

Yes i was just about to say that to op let me break it down for you

At 4k 40" ppi comes out to 110.15

At 4k 28" ppi comes out to 157.35

Meaning at both correct distances u wont see pixels BUT with the lower ppi on the 40" u lose clarity and sharpness and as said the response time is low on hdtvs so i would recommend a monitor..If you choose ips thats pretty much the icing on the cake but even if not 4k really looks good and with the 157 pixel density you going to love it. I own the asus pb279q and theres no turning back to anything lower
