Need CPU cooler recommendation, liquid vs fanless.

Hello,

I need advice from people who are more knowledgeable than me in CPU cooling. I want my computer to be as quiet as possible and I am going to replace my CPU cooler. I am wondering if a good fanless cooler would be enough for me or if I should go with liquid cooling instead.

My CPU is an Athlon FX4100. Currently, when it reaches 20% usage the fan becomes annoying and at 30% or more it is VERY annoying.

I ran a test by loading it more than I ever do for about 20 minutes. The usage ranged between 47% and 52%. The CPU temp averaged 52 celcius and went as high as 60 while the maximum power used was 58.8 Watts.

And as I said, this was with much more load than I ever do, I had a netflix movie playing, a few browser tabs opened, some music playing in windows media player and I was playing Spinztires at the same time.

So, since these seems like low figures of temp and power, would a good fanless cooler be enough ?

well for a cheap old quiet air cooler evo hyper 212..i have a i5 4690k Overclocked @ 46 and all you can hear is a faint whisp from the fan..unless of course the temps from a stress test push it in the 80C realms then you hear it..
the noctua HD NH D15 is more pricy but silent too. great great air cooler.all of the best recommend it, Linus Techs fav.
For water im not well versed in but from what i remeber on allot of videos allot swear by the old Corsair H110 280mm
good luck :)
