Query on Overclocking the CPU

Hello,

I have an i5-3450 @ 3.1 GHz. I was wondering if I could overclock it to give a little more juice for my gaming. I have the stock fan and an Intel DH61WW Motherboard. Will I be able to accomplish anything with these or do I have to upgrade? Also how would I go about monitoring the heat output of the CPU?

Ivybridge does allow for overclocking non K processors by 4 bins, but unfortunately that motherboard doesn't allow multiplier adjustments so unless you overclock via the blck, the answer is no

P.S don't OC via the blck
