HDMI digital handshake issues

Hi, I'm having HDMI digital handshake issues with an Onkyo HT-R960 receiver.

I'm using a Samsung UN65EH6000 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED HDTV.

I had problems with my PC, but I'm using a GEFEN EXT-HD-EDIDPN HDMI Detective Plus for my PC and it's worked fine ever since.

My Playstation 3's initial connection is spotty, though. I tried the abovementioned booster, as well as a Tripp Lite HDMI Extender Equalizer, Active Repeater for Video and Audio 1920x1200,1080p at 24Hz (HDMI F/F)(B122-000).

Neither worked consistently.

When the receiver and Playstation 3 do connect, I get a lot of multi-colored "static" that gradually dissipates after about 5-10 seconds.

Thinking it might be the Playstation 3, I tried an Amazon Fire Stick. That never connected at all.

I've tried connected everything directly to the display. Everything seems to work fine there, so I'm assuming it's the receiver.

I've tried "power off" at the socket on all devices.

I've air-dusted all components and their connections.

I'm using Amazon HMDI cables marked "HDMI," which I understand to mean they meet HDMI standards. I've tried other cables, but any recommendations would be appreciated.

Should I take my receiver in to have the HMDI inputs replaced?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.
